WHAT IF I DO NOT PAY THE FINE?

FAILURE TO PAY THE PENALTY SHOWN, OR TO CONTEST LIABILITY MAY RESULT IN THE IMPOSITION OF LATE FEES AND COURT COSTS.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The photo enforcement system measures your speed and position. If you are exceeding the posted speed limit, or if your speed indicates that you are unlikely to stop before the signal changes to red, it captures a digital photograph of your vehicle. If at a signalized intersection you subsequently travel past the stop bar while the signal is red, it captures a second photograph of your vehicle in the inter-section and extracts the image of your license plate. The system also captures a motion video of red light violations which you can review online.  An Chattanooga police officer reviews every single violation.
